A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas.
Raised in a military family, Earnest’s early years took him from Gulfport, Mississippi to Camarillo, California—experiences that helped shape the steady, dependable man so many came to know. He was Christian by faith, and throughout his life he carried himself with a sense of purpose and conviction.
Earnie built a business—and a reputation—on the kind of strong construction work that spoke for itself, no matter the size or difficulty of the project. He believed in doing things the right way, and his work reflected a lifetime of effort, persistence, and pride in a job well done.
In 1985, Earnie met his true love, Karen, and together they shared a life filled with joy and love. Earnest valued time with family, and some of his happiest days were simply those spent surrounded by the people he cared about most.
Earnie’s interests were as hands-on as he was. He loved cars—especially the Corvette—and enjoyed driving his own as much as he enjoyed the thrill of car races. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting & fishing. At home he found real satisfaction in tinkering, fixing, and building, always working with his hands. Earnie also had a gift for humor: he could fill a room with laughter, and he was known for the funny stories he told so well. Just as memorable was his loyalty—he was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have, the one who would show up without hesitation when help was needed.
Earnie was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Feagins; brother, Larry Feagins; father in-law, Dennis Daniel; and brother in-law, Gary Daniel.
He is survived by his beloved, Karen Daniel; daughters, Jessica Cushman, Sheryl Cushman, Felicia Baker, and husband, Josh; grandchildren, Kaylee McGee and husband, Dawson, Jayden Baker, Hadley Baker, Hollie “Madison” Gribble, Emily Gribble, Elijah Helton, Ella-Marie Helton; great grandchildren, Raylee McCurley, Julianne McCurley; father, Jack Feagins; sister, Lora Hanzalik and husband, Mark; nephew, Michael Lewis and wife, Stephanie; and a host of other family and friends.
