Ruth passed away December 27, 2015, in Mabank, TX.
She was born on October 11, 1942, to John Henry and Maudie Thompson Phillips.
Ruth was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed watching sports especially, football, baseball and golf. She played basketball in school and also played in softball leagues in her early adult life. She loved to sew, and she worked at City Cleaners in Mabank for many years as a seamstress.
She is preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Hobby and JoNell Phillips; Brother, Henry Lee Phillips; Great Grandchild, Joseph Meyer and Great Grandchild, Kali May.
Ruth is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law, Henry and Beki May; Daughter and Son-in-law, Karron and Gary Nelson; Son, Jason Belcher; 10 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; and Brother, Hubert and Patsy Phillips.
Graveside services will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Canton, TX.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
