Enriqueta Duran Diaz

Enriqueta (Queta) Duran Diaz, age 44, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 7th, at 10 am at St. Therese Catholic Church, Canton, TX, by Father Jesusdoss Thomas with a Rosary held at 9:30 am prior to the mass service.

Queta was born on the 13th of July, 1973, to Julia Diaz and Tereso Duran Urquiza. She was the 15th child of 18 siblings and was a very friendly person. She was always smiling and laughing and made friends everywhere she went. Queta married Adolfo Rivera in December 2000. Together they raised two daughters, Jessica and Diana, and two sons, Adolfo and Carlos.

She never showed her pain, problems or worries to others. Queta was always a strong person who never gave up and kept fighting for what she wanted to accomplish. Her family was always very important to her. What she enjoyed so much was dancing and singing. She loved George Strait. She will be missed so much by husband, daughters, sons, siblings, grandson, nieces, nephews and friends.

Queta was preceded in death by her father, Tereso Duran Urquiza; mother, Julia Duran Urquiza; brother, Jesus Duran Diaz; sister, Maria Duran Diaz.

She is survived by her husband, Adolfo Rivera; daughters: Jessica Rivera and Diana Rivera; sons: Adolfo Rivera and Carlos Rivera, and his fiancé, Breann Nutt; her grandson, Cash R. Rivera; numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
