Ethel "Pat" Hartley
November 20, 1934 – January 22, 2022

A celebration of life service for Ethel “Pat” Hartley, 87, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Eubank Funeral Home. Grandson Brian Risinger officiating.
Pat passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022 in Athens, Texas. She was born on November 20, 1934 in Ben Wheeler, Texas to James and Gena Dailey Monds. Pat grew up in East Texas. On February 9, 1951 she married the love of her life, Charles Hartley. The couple lived in Dallas and later retired to Gun Barrel City, Texas to enjoy the lake. They had 63 wonderful years at his passing. Pat was a strong woman who enjoyed shopping and decorating her home. She enjoyed traveling in their RV, working in her flower beds and cooking for family and friends. She also enjoyed music and dancing. Pat dearly loved time spent with her family and dog. This beautiful woman inside and out will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Pat is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Karen and Charles Risinger; son and daughter in-law, David and Cindy Hartley; grandchildren, Shanya and James Matthews, Brian and Cristie Risinger, Melissa and Jeremy Taylor, Laura and Tyler Smith; great grandchildren, Josef Matthews, Alyssa Hartley, Daleton Risinger, Samantha Matthews, Ethon Risinger, Sarah Matthews, Ryker Smith and Axel Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Gena Monds; beloved husband, Charles Hartley; sisters, Lorene Coker and Evelyn Hendley; brothers, J.W. Monds and James Monds.
A visitation will be held at 12:00 noon prior to the service on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
