Faye was a very talented seamstress. She made most of her daughter, Brenda’s, dresses. She was a perfectionist when it came to sewing.
The two oldest grandkids always looked forward to spending a week with Nanny (Faye) and Pawpaw (Bob). They also had the added bonus of having an uncle not much older than they were. I’m sure this was Greg’s favorite week of the year.

My Nanny was the sweetest most kind woman I know. We moved out of state when I was little so didn't get to see her as much as l would have liked. I remember meeting her and Greg at the dairy queen in Canton to visit for a little bit on our visit from Oklahoma to Texas. And she would make a big Tupperware container of peanut butter cookies when we would all meet In hallsville. She made the best. I probably ate most of them.

When I became a single Mom, Nanny came to stay with us Monday thru Friday to take care of Nicole and Nathan while I worked. Then, she would go back home Friday when I got off work. She did this every week for close to a year. Every day when I got home, she had dinner cooked, the house was clean and the laundry was done.
Thinking back to that time in my life makes me realize how much she loved and cared for me, Nicole and Nathan. I love you Nanny for leaving me with the memories of a week every summer spent with you. Love you Nanny
