Geneva Heard

Geneva Heard, age 84, of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully the morning of September 10, 2025. She was born in Henderson, Texas to OB Clamp and Faye Louise Baughman Clamp on March 2, 1941 (with her twin brother Mark).

Geneva graduated from Henderson High School in 1960. While working in Henderson, she met Howard B Heard Jr and they married in November 1961. They welcomed their first child, Jeff, in October 1962 and moved to Odessa shortly thereafter. They welcomed their second child, Jerry, in December 1963. The moved to Houston in 1967. They were married over 59 years.

Geneva is preceded in death by her husband Howard, her parents O.B and Faye, her in-laws Howard and Evelyn Heard Sr., her brothers Mark Clamp and Jerry Clamp, brothers-in-law Eddie Wilkerson and Rueben Saxon, sisters-in-law Annell Clamp and Toni Heard, nephews Chris Heard and Scott Saxon, and nieces Angie Clamp and Dawn Heard. She is now healthy in mind and body and celebrating the amazing reunion with her Savior and the many loved ones that she had missed so much.

She is survived by her sons Jeff (Daray) and Jerry (Sandy), Jeff’s children Ashley, Zachary (Hannah), Joshua and Christopher, Jerry’s children Madeline Hernandez (Israel) and Dillon, her great-grandsons Grayson Hernandez, Scottie Heard and Wesley Heard, her sister Delores Wilkerson of Henderson (who passed in January), brother-in-law Jordie Heard of Canton and sister-in-law Martha Saxon of Tyler, niece Jennifer Wilkerson Schell, and nephews Gary Wilkerson, Dean Wilkerson, Micah Heard, Jacob Heard and Gregg Saxon. She will be greatly missed by family and by friends of Second Baptist Church – Houston.

Geneva was a natural artist who played the piano and painted with oils on canvas. She was a successful day-trader. And she lived for being a grandmother and great grandmother, and her friends at church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 7, 2026 at Eubanks Funeral Home in Canton, TX.
