George passed away on May 29, 2016 in Canton, TX.
He was born on June 16, 1923 to Esmond Thompson and Susie Tucker.
George grew up in Canton and then joined the Navy and served during World War II as a gunner. He was an avid gardener, worked his property, and raised his cattle.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Anna Ruth Thompson; Brothers, Cocozell, A.D, and Kenneth Thompson; and a Sister, Maurine Thompson.
George is survived by his Caregiver, Traci Knight; Caregivers, Renee Davis, Cathy Spoon, and Joy Helweg; Son, Michael Olen Thompson; Daughter, Patricia Ann Napp; Daughter, Marie Bodeford; and numerous Grandchildren and extended family.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
