Gerald Ray Robinson

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home. A service celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 7,2025, at the funeral in home, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Gerald grew up in Rylie, Texas and graduated from Rylie High School. He was a dedicated police officer in the Crimes Against People division with the Dallas Police Department for 35 years.

Gerald was a long-time member of Tundra Baptist Church. With his beloved wife, Bernice, by his side he built a home in Van Zandt County and was very active and sociable in the church. In his retirement years he was involved in the Whitton Volunteer Fire Department, always giving back to the community he lived in.

Gerald enjoyed traveling, camping, playing golf and working in his yard. He could be found working in his woodshop building furniture and beautiful woodworks. Gerald played the guitar and harmonica; relaxing and sharing music with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Oleta Robinson; beloved wife, Bernice Robinson; daughter, Shelley Eaker; brother, Don Robinson.

Gerald is survived by his son, Benny Medcalf and wife, Janna Medcalf; daughter, Terrie Robinson-Bloom; brother, Boyd Robinson and wife, Judy; sister in-law, Monica Robinson; a very special friend, Giftenne Kelly; a multitude of other family and friends.

Gerald will be interned at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas where he will be reunited with his beloved wife.
