Gordon Allen

Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

Gordon passed away on November 18, 2016 in Athens.

He was born on December 14, 1937 in Wills Point to Andrew and Norine Wilson Allen.

Gordon graduated from Wills Point High School where he played football and basketball. He married his loving wife Novell on January 16, 1957. Gorgon worked at NL Shutte Drilling Company for 42 years. In retirement Gordon liked working on his farm and his cows. Gordon loved his family and his granddaughters were his pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Allen; mother and father-in-law, Inez and Leroy White; brother-in-law, Vernon Walls; and sister-in-law, Cleta Shelton.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Novell Allen; son, Gary and Shelley Allen; son, Steve and Brenda Allen; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Charlie Jones, and Emily Allen; sister-in-law, Peggy Allen, sister-in-law, Faye Walls; brother-in-law, Ronnie Shelton; numerous nieces and nephews; and closest friend, James Bramblett.

Visitation will be held on November 20, 2016 at Eubank Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm.
