Services for Bro. Harium C. Harris, 76, of Grand Saline, will be held 3 pm Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Robbie Caldwell officiating. Interment will be in Barrett Cemetery near Edgewood.
Bro. Harium passed away January 17, 2021 in Tyler. He was born March 14, 1944 in Palestine, TX.
Bro. Harris graduated high school and was then drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Bonnie for 49 years before she passed away. They were inseparable. After Vietnam he became a preacher. During his ministry, he pastored several churches in East Texas and was an officer with the Baptist Missionary Association. Bro. Harium retired after 50 years of ministry. While pastoring smaller churches, he often worked at other jobs. He worked with the local schools where he was a substitute teacher, drove buses and refereed. He was also a carpenter and a roofer.
Bro. Harium is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Harris; and a son-in-law, James Trout. He is survived by his daughter, Carla Trout of Grand Saline; son, Hiram Keith and Jennifer Harris of Tyler; daughter, Maranda and Billy Parker of Florence; daughter-in-law, Crystal Harris; four grandchildren: Alexia and Brian Bucy, Mikayla and Aaron Savallo, Damain and Kaity Falls and Ivy Parker; five great-grandchildren: Jessie, Kendle, Nicolas, Easton and Lucas James, who is on the way; and a sister, Patricia and Mike Stovall.
Honorary Pallbearers are Cloyce Praytor, Royce Praytor, David Praytor, Jesse Praytor, Clyde Crumpton, Brian Bucy, Aaron Savallo and Damain Falls.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
