Harvey Allen Kimmey

Mr. Kimmey passed away September 4, 2022 at his home. He was born May 3, 1942 in Kirbyville, TX to Harvey Henderson Kimmey and Nora Alma Howard Kimmey.

Harvey grew up in Grapeland and graduated high school. He has lived in Grand Saline since 1968. Harvey retired from ASC in Terrell. He loved old Westerns and Singing Cowboys. Harvey also loved hunting deer and hogs. He also enjoyed fishing. Harvey was a member of Silver Lake Baptist Church.

Mr. Kimmey is preceded in death by his son, Steven; parents, Harvey and Nora; two brothers: Charlie and F.J.; and four sisters: Viola Smith, Vera Wilmoth, Mary Adkins and Freda McDowell.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Willie Fay Kimmey; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Turner; two grandsons: Jared Turner and wife, Tammy, and Garrett Turner and fiance', Aubrey; two great-grandsons: Hunter and Jax Turner; sister, Frankie Armstrong; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Mike Berryhill, Ricky McDowell, David McDowell, Michael McDowell, Tracy Ray, Brent McDowell, Harvey Lee Kimmey, Ronnie Armstrong and James Smith.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
