

Services for Hensley Coy Wilson, 85, of Hideaway, will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 12, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Pastor Mark Robinson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Wilson passed away on December 9, 2025 in Tyler. He was born on April 24, 1940 in Wills Point to Hensley Leon and Lila Marcelle Parker Wilson.
Coy, as he was known, went to Wills Point High School and graduated in 1958. He joined the Navy in 1958 and served his county for 4 1/2 years. Upon returning, he married Nancy Kay Wilson in July 1963. They were married for 54 years plus before Nancy passed away on January 20, 2017. Coy and Kay had two children, Kelly Dean and Kevin Alexander Wilson.
Coy joined the Dallas Fire Department in 1963 and served 34 plus years before retiring in June of 1997. Coy was a member of the Hideaway Sunday School Class. He was active in several churches throughout his life.
Coy was known to have said he was blessed with two lovely ladies, Nancy Kay and his second wife, Brenda Ann Bass, whom he married in April 2018. He was also blessed with all of their grand and great grandchildren. Coy would go out of his way to help any of those who had problems in the past.
Coy had several hobbies, but said his favorite was playing senior softball in his younger years, listening to Country and Gospel music was his second choice. He also enjoyed singing karaoke.
Coy has now gone on to meet his Father in Heaven and will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Hensley Leon and Lila Marcelle Wilson; brother, Marshall Don Wilson; twin brother, Jackie Loy Wilson; and his first wife, Nancy Kay Wilson.
Coy is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Brenda Bass; sons: Kelly and Lisa Wilson and Kevin Wilson; five grandchildren: Jonathan Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Meagan Jackson, Bethany DeAnda and Olivia Wilson; six great-grandchildren: Carter Jordan Wilson, Lilly Kai Godley, Tabor Dean Wilson, Marleigh Ross Wilson, Cohen DeAnda and Bennett DeAnda; and his sister, Nita Sue Hardy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
