Hettie Louise Smith

Hettie passed away on December 30, 2021 in Bedford, Texas. She was born on March 24, 1939 in Dallas County to J. D. Cole and Hettie Elizabeth Barnett Cole.

Hettie was a beautiful woman, full of life and loved by all that knew her. She was a retired Administrative Assistant at Texas Instruments. She had been married for 43 years to her beloved husband, George Smith at the time of his passing in 2015. Hettie was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton for many years. She enjoyed outings to the casinos, going to the movies and Bunco night with her friends. But, family get togethers was her favorite way to spend a day. Hettie was a funny, warm hearted woman and she dearly loved her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J. D. and Hettie E. Cole; husband, George Smith; sister, Bettie Cole Chaney; brother, James Cole.

Hettie is survived by her daughter and husband, Joy and Tom Robb; grandchildren, Ashley Robb and Hunter Robb; brother and sister in-law, Bobby and Sandra Cole; sister, Shirley Davis; several nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
