Howard DuBois, age 84, of Canton, Texas, peacefully passed away and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on September 19, 2026 surrounded by his loving family, and church members; after a courageous battle with several extenuating health conditions.
Howard was born on January 17, 1942 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Vern A DuBois and Wanda L. Frasier. From his youth to his final days, his life was anchored by an unwavering devotion to his faith, serving as a living testament to the love, grace, and patience of God. He was, above all else, a deeply God-fearing man who walked humbly with his Creator and led his family with a gentle, Christ-like spirit.
To know Howard was to know the true definition of patience. He possessed a rare, quiet strength and a heart that was slow to anger and quick to extend grace. He listened without judgment, spoke with intentional kindness, and had an extraordinary ability to make anyone in his presence feel deeply valued, seen, and loved.
He spent his years perfecting his talent and becoming a well-known artist, volunteering at his local church, or quietly helping neighbors in need. His legacy is not measured in material wealth or earthly titles, but in the countless lives softened by his gentleness and the solid foundation of faith he built for his family. He lived by the truth of scripture, and his loved ones find immense comfort in knowing he has heard the words from God, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
He is survived and will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 40 years, Terry DuBois; his cherished child, Tim DuBois and his wife, Candice; his grandchild, Caulier DuBois; step grandsons: Noah Stolte and Micah Stolte; and his siblings, Donna Kaye Waldrop and Linda Joyce Smith, as well as a community of extended Church family and friends whose lives were forever changed by his kindness.
A viewing will be held on September 28, 2026 at 10:00 am at Eubank Funeral Home located in Canton, Texas 75103. A Celebration of Life service will follow after the viewing at 11:00 am.
Howard will be laid to rest at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
