Iva Nell Parker

Iva Nell was born February 20, 1936 in Van Zandt County to Loy Edward King Sr. and Velma Lee Dillard.

She passed away March 25, 2018 in Dallas, TX.

Iva Nell grew up in Van Zandt County and attended school in Fruitvale. She married Ralph Parker August 15, 1952. They moved to Dallas in the 1950's and Iva Nell worked for Texas Instruments for 10 years. In 1964 they moved home to Fruitvale and opened her beauty shop where she worked until 1985 when she retired. Iva Nell loved spending time with family, gardening and ranching. She was a member of Lawrence Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her Daughter, Barbara Parker Koonce; Son, Douglas Parker & Mitzi Fisher; Son, Eugene & Vicki Parker; Grandson, Doug & Julie Parker; Grandson, Willie & Chasity Parker; Granddaughter, Jennifer & Brandon Kindle; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister, Maxine Staggs; Sister, Fayrene Willson; Brother, Troy King; and Brother, Derrell King.

Iva Nell is preceded in death by her Parents, Loy & Velma King; Husband, Ralph Parker; Granddaughter, Rheaona Scott; Granddaughter, Rachelle Love; Great-Grandson, Jacob Love; Sister, Arletta Turner; Brother, Loy Edward King Jr.; and Sister, Nanalou King.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Barrett Cemetery in Edgewood, TX.
