Services for James Douglas Adams, Jr. 67, of Athens, TX are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton, TX with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.
James passed away May 20, 2018, in Athens, TX. He was born January 28,1951, in Muleshoe, TX to James Douglas and Trava Sue Johnson Adams.
James grew up in west Texas and graduated from Odessa High School in 1969. He and Jodie married August 7, 1970. He enjoyed sports and his ministry was coaching children's sports. He owned A+ Prescription Pest Control.
He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Stephanie Adams.
James is survived by his wife, Jodie Irene Adams of Athens, TX; son, Scott Adams and wife,Terri; son James Todd Adams and wife, Tamara; Grandchildren, Amanda Adams, Alyson Poindexter, Jacob Adams, Stacey Adams, Kimberly Adams and sister, Vickie Swift.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
