James passed away January 18, 2018 in Wills Point, TX.
He was born November 14, 1938 in Van Zandt County to Daniel Robinson Thornburgh and Lazema Fincher.
James was born and raised in Van Zandt County. He owned and operated Thornburgh's Garage in Myrtle Springs for 53 years. He was also a retired farmer.
He is survived by his Son, Jimmy & Marcia Thornburgh of Canton; Daughter, Tammy & Jeff Haley of Canton; Brother, Leon & Arcie Thornburgh; Granddaughter, Jennifer & Jeff DeSilva; and 4 Great Granddaughters: Madeline Cashman, Londyn Haley, Emmie DeSilva and Alyssa DeSilva; along with several nieces & nephews.
James is preceded in death by his Parents, D.R. & Lazema Thornburgh; Wife of 38 years, Gatha Thornburgh; Son, Ronny Thornburgh; Son, Mark Andrew Thornburgh; Grandson, Duane Haley; 1 Brother; and 2 Sisters.
Family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to the service at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
