JD was an avid fisherman and hunter. His love of fishing led him to join numerous bass fishing clubs alongside what his wife called an "Academy Outdoors" in his backyard.
He graduated from Canton High School in 2014 then went on to attend Tarleton State University. After school, he spent the next twelve years of his life working his way up the ladder in HVAC from an errand boy to a superintendent in the industry.
JD was a very hard worker and dedicated to everything he did, namely fishing. He was funny, witty, and lit up any room when he walked into it. His friends and love of fishing were what brought him the most joy in life.
JD is survived by his wife, Kaycee; Parents: Dwayne and Alice Clements; Aunts and uncle: Denise (Marty) Daugherty and JeriAnn Kimbrell; Great-aunt and uncle: Thomas and Debra James; Cousins: Colton (Zorah) James, Cody Daugherty, Kolemon Weatherford, Kinsley Saunders, Stormi Steed; Sister: Jamie (Corey) Green; Nephews: Caiden, Dalton, and KW Green; and Grandmother: Anita McHenry.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Jerry and Judy Pugh; and Great-great-aunt, Lois Thompson.
A celebration of life for JD will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Silver Spur in Canton, TX from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
