Jimmy Ray Powell

Mr. Powell passed away October 5, 2024 in Alba. He was born May 3, 1962 in Dallas to Bobby Ray and Sarah JoAnn Powell.

Jimmy graduated from Collinsville High School in 1980. He then served in the US Army before beginning his career in telecommunications with AT&T. Jimmy was a faithful spectator of all sports. You could count on Jimmy to support all his family as they played their sport. He was also a history buff. Jimmy was a faithful member of TFA Church and loved serving the Lord.

Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his parents: Bobby Ray Powell and Sarah JoAnn Powell; and two sisters: Wendy Winfrey and Brenda Santiago.

Jimmy is survived by his four children: Sarah and Philip Heider, Jessica and Alex Roman, Jeremy Powell and Chelsi Powell; seven grandchildren: Leo Roman, Elly Roman, Noah Roman, Judah Roman, Elijah Heider, Josiah Heider and Emily Heider; the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Angie Powell; mother, Jackie Powell; sister and brother in law, Sheri and Dell Garcia; and brother and sister in law Robert and Angela Powell.
