When my husband was in Baylor Hospital with cancer in December, 2019 Joe came to visit him which was not an easy task with the downtown traffic, parking issues and add to that that Joe had to navigate the hospital halls on his scooter. Nothing was more important than visiting his good friend Walter at that time. I remember watching as this dear man prayed over my husband with tears running down his face. I’m so thrilled that they are together again. Thank you Joe for your big heart. Until we meet again. ❤️🙏🏻

I am greatful for the love Joe showed us and all the wonderful times we had together. Joe and Geraldine led us to Christ and we will always be greatful for them in our lives . Words cannot express how we feel right now. I know he loved all his children and was so proud of all and his grandchildren. We will miss him very much as we stayed in touch. God bless all

Joe had the biggest heart and was always ready and willing to help with anything. He was probably more important to me than most would know. I have sought his guidance and counseling on many things. He was my best friend. The Best man at my wedding. I have tried to model the way I love my wife to the way him and Geraldine loved each other. You could see it by the way they looked at each other. As much as he loved Geraldine, he loved his Savior more! I am sure he is singing with that heavenly choir as I write this and hoping he saves me a seat next to him. I will miss him dearly. My prayers are with you his family during this difficult time.

To the children

Like many others I have known your mom and dad for many years. Your mom has been missed more than words and your dad will be too. They both were great and also funny friends.

You each already know how much they loved you and how proud they were of you and the grandbabies and great grands. Joe and I never talked or texted without him telling me about the grandbabies and how each of them were doing.

All children would be blessed to have parents like yours!!! They were very special parents.

Love and prayers to each of you
