Mr. John Murray Bowman was born on September 15, 1963, in Canton, Texas to the parentage of the late Marry and Ada L. Bowman. John received his education through the Canton Independent School District. He was a member of the graduating class of ____. While in high school, John was active in football sports but soon found out sports was not his "cup of tea". John chose the country/western lifestyle as he truly enjoyed riding and taking care of livestock and roping cattle. Before John's retirement in February 2026, he was still working at The Athen's Arena.
As briefly mentioned of John's retirement, his milestone of retiring from the VZCC was met in February 2026. John truly loved his job and all the co-workers there.
John was married to Alicia Trejo, and no children were born in the union.
John accepted Christ at an early age at Promise Land CME Church, but later united with the Heritage Trail Cowboy Church, Ben Wheeler, Texas. There he served on the finance committee and in any other capacity needed.
John was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. He leaves to treasure his memory: his sister/caregiver, Belinda Hall of Terrell Texas; his brother, Roger Bowman of Dallas, TX; his aunt; Julia Lewis of DeSoto, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
