Services for John Henry Greenwood, 92, of Kaufman, are scheduled for 10 am Monday, November 16, 2015, at the Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. T.L. Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Wills Point.
Mr. Greenwood passed away November 13, 2015, at his home. He was born December 24, 1922, in Wills Point to Stonewall Jefferson and Nettie Beulah Wilson Greenwood.
John grew up in the Alsa Community near Wills Point. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war he helped on the family farm until he surrendered to preach. John moved to Alabama where he met and married his wife Annie.
Mr. Greenwood is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers: Billy Joe, R.D. and Jeff, Jr.; and a sister, Juanita Sloan.
John is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Eugene Blagburn of Kaufman; four nieces: Darlene Mathein, Patricia Blakely, Judy Davis and Cathy Gerbig; three nephews: Robert Greenwood, Kyle Gillen and Kent Gillen; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
