I remember giving John that Mets cap when he told me he was a Mets fan. The smile was priceless. Then when we gave him the cake my mother in law made he grinned from ear to ear. The times we spent together were priceless. It was truly a blessing to knowJohn. You will be missed by us all.

POPS was my NCOIC in the Guard, he became a friend leading to a member of my softball team. It didn't take long to become my go to 1st Baseman and clutch hitter. Over time he became one of my BEST FRIENDS, Adviser, Father Figure , Team Mate, and a man I will always RESPECT and Look Up to. I will miss you POP and that rough raspy voice, but will always Cherish the laughs (Jacksonville Fall Out), memories (Ticket in ole beater w/no floor board going to ARK TY), and guidance you gave me. See you again at Home Plate one day. GOD SPEED MY FRIEND!!!!

Another great Team with more talent and friendships. POP was always the Father of the Team built around him and his advice
