Services for John H. Gurley, 84, of Eustace, will be held 10 am Friday, February 2, 2024, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Billy Gurley and Bill Gurley officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Mr. Gurley passed away on January 26, 2024 in Tyler. He was born September 6, 1939 in Tom, Oklahoma to Stansil Newton Gurley and Rubye Lou Sehon Gurley.
John was a member of China Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Sears Roebuck after 38 years as a supervisor. John was a longtime rancher. He loved his family, especially his "grandchildren."
Mr. Gurley is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Gurley; and his parents, Stansil and Rubye Gurley. John is survived by his daughter, Twila and Charley Reynaud; four adopted grandchildren: Brandon, Leigha, Clay and Haleigh; nine adopted great-grandchildren; sister, Laverne Bruebaker, four brothers: Bob and Sally Gurley, Charles and Mary Gurley, Bill and Jeannie Gurley, and Earnest and Sandra Gurley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Larry Montgomery, Chad Hutchison, Kris Hutchison, Kevin Hutchison, Brandon Gurley, Beau Gurley, David Gurley, Gary Corley, Clay Gurley and Ryan Pannell.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
