I worked with Johnny as his helper for short time and was with him when he hurt his back many years ago he was a good man. Although we did not work together long I never forgot him or the things he taught me and never will.

I was one of those "wiggly boys" in his children's Sunday School class that he taught at First Baptist Canton. He was a very dedicated and prepared teacher, but he also could make SS fun. I am thankful for the lessons that he taught and demonstrated in his life. I rejoice in knowing that he is no longer in pain and is in the presence of his Lord and King whom he talked about in those Sunday School lessons.

When I met your father it was as if I had always known him he was a person who made you feel welcome. Just hold on to the Lords promise in John 14:2 in my Fathers house are many rooms; If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. (NIV). For those who called upon the name of Jesus will be saved and a room prepared.

I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for touching the life of Johnny Cantrell and for uniquely molding him into the image of the Son of God. His years of continual pain and suffering have been used of God to give him perseverance, character, hope and the love of God toward our Lord, the Word, his family and to all who knew him. That love is now perfected in glory as he sees our Savior and Lord face to face!

Carolyn and Cantrell Family,
We are so sorry for the loss of your special loved one and our friend. We remember the fun times, the jokes and the church committee meetings with Johnny. I know you have precious memories to share with each other as you mourn, knowing that he truly is with the Jesus he loved, worshipped, and served in teaching young wiggly boys in his Sunday School class. His legacy will live on through through those boys, your boys, the grandchildren and beyond. We love you all and will be remembering you as you go through this difficult time.
