Judith passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023 at home. She was born October 21, 1938 to Lloyd Schwartz and Ruth Connoy Schwartz.
Judith was a long time resident of Canton. She married her one true love, William Abner Smith, on July 1, 1962. The couple had 56 wonderful years together at his passing in 2018. Judith was a member of the Canton Church of Christ. Judith was dedicated as a caregiver and overseer of the residents of MHMR so they could reach their best potential. She enjoyed organizing old family photos but, quilting was her favorite pastime.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Schwartz; husband, William Smith.
Judith is survived by her son, William "Tony" Smith; daughter, Barbara Smith.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery in Van Zandt County.
