Karl and Evelyn Pendill

A memorial service to honor and celebrate their lives will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Eubank Funeral Home.

Karl and Evelyn were married on June 8, 1973, and they had 52 wonderful years together and now rest together with Jesus. They were both dedicated Christians and members of Heritage Trail Cowboy Church in Ben Wheeler, Texas.

Karl grew up in White Pigeon, Michigan and graduated from White Pigeon High School. He proud served in United States Air Force. He was a maintenance man for the Fruitvale ISD in Van Zandt County for many years. His hobbies include watching all Motor Car Racing, NFL games and golf.

Karl is preceded in death by father, Roscoe Dean Pendill; mother, Mildred Rentfrow; brother, Steven Pendill; son, Kyle Dean Pendill & daughter, Tasha Hartley Leeson.

Survivors include daughters: Regina Young, Dawn Edgar; son, Robert Pendill; grandchildren: Amber & Quinn Wardin, Amanda Yordy, Lee Biggerstaff, Preston Shamblin, Jessica, Ashley & Karen Pendill, Maci & Levi Pendill, Kaleigh Mclarney; great grandchildren: Kieren, Tristan & Wyatt Wardin, Kolby & Kooper Passons, Jesse Walker, Randy & Kayleen Biggerstaff, Sarah & Nathaniel Shamblin, Ezekiel & Arya Grady, William and Sara Leeson; sister in-law, Laura Pendill; a multitude of other family and friends.

Evelyn was born and raised in Goshen, Indiana. She was a devoted wife and mother. Evelyn worked in the school cafeteria at Grand Saline ISD, feeding the children as they fed their minds with knowledge. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting and reading.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl; father, Moses E. Mast; mother, Goldie Fern Miller Mast; brothers: Tobias, Perry, Eli, LeRoy, Allen Lloyd William Mast; sisters: Viola, Ella, Edith, Dorothy May, Mary, Lillian Fern and Irma Irene Mast; daughter, Tasha Hartley Leeson.

Evelyn is survived by brother, Ray Mast; sister in-law, Laura Pendill; children: Regina Young, Dawn Edgar, Robert Pendill; grandchildren: Amber & Quinn Wardin, Amanda Yordy, Lee Biggerstaff, Preston Shamblin, Jessica, Ashley & Karen Pendill, Maci & Levi Pendill, Kaleigh Mclarney; great grandchildren: Kieren, Tristan & Wyatt Wardin, Kolby & Kooper Passons, Jesse Walker, Randy & Kayleen Biggerstaff, Sarah & Nathaniel Shamblin, Ezekiel & Arya Grady, William and Sara Leeson; a host of other family and friends.
