Kate Lafaye White

Mrs. White passed away May 14, 2018 at her home. She was born January 12, 1932 in Dallas, TX to Bill Clanton and Iola Ruth Yancey.

Kate moved east to Maine where she met and married Jesse White in 1951. She graduated from business school and they moved back to Texas while Jesse earned his degree. They then moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1959. She worked for Los Alamos Scientific Lab until she retired after 25 years of service. They moved to Eustace in 1997 to re-establish their family property. Kate enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading books and crossword puzzles.

Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Iola Yancey, and two sisters: Vivian and Gloria Nell Yancey.

Kate is survived by her husband, Jesse White of Eustace; daughter, Kristine and Wesley Williams of Eustace; son, Jason and Victoria White of Lubbock; six grandchildren: Nicole and Aaron Chapman, James White, Abigail Williams, Justin Williams, Bradley and Brooke Williams and Caroline Brady; eight great-grandchildren: Jamie, Ashley, Kateland, Johnathon, Jacob, Shelby, Luke and Travis; sister, Rosalie and Jack Byrd of Athens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
