Keith Stephen Gaar

A graveside service for Keith Stephen Gaar, 64, of Canton, will be held 6 pm Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Holly Springs Cemetery in Martin's Mill with Pastor Mike Roberson officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Mr. Gaar passed away September 1, 2021 in Waxahachie. He was born May 7, 1957 in Bartlesville, OK to Basil Lee and Rowena Drusilla Keith Gaar.

Keith was a resident of Canton for the past 27 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton and worked for Ingersoll Rand Dallas Branch. Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Gaar is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Basil Lee Gaar.

Keith is survived by his wife, Susan Annette Stamps Gaar of Canton; sons and their wives: Nathan Craig and Lizzie Chen Gaar of Austin and Ryan Taylor and Amanda Paige Gaar of Martin's Mill; four grandchildren: Bowen Harold Gaar, Ella Scout Gaar, Laythe Carter Gaar and Augustus Gaar, who is due in December; mother, Rowena Gaar of Caldwell, brother, Kenneth Gaar of Caldwell; sister Dr. Kathy Billingsley and her husband, Dr. Turner Billingsley, of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Dr. Karla Humphreys and her husband, Robert Humphreys, of Caldwell; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Backpack Buddies at Martin's Mill ISD or the Inside Out Special Needs class at First Baptist Church in Canton.
