Larry Lavelle Wilson, 79, of Anna, Texas, went to join his Lord and Savior on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on September 22, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Eugene and Velma Wilson.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Kathy Wilson; his children, Brandy Heistand and husband Scott, Damian Wilson and wife Scotti, and Jared Wilson and wife Monica; ten cherished grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sondra Thorne and husband Wayne. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his loving daughter Magan Chappell, and his sisters Donna Noble and Judy Moerbe.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, completing four years of service. Following his military service, he dedicated his life to the construction industry, where his skill, integrity, and strong work ethic left a lasting mark on every project he touched. Known for his ability to fix or build just about anything, Larry took pride in a job well done and the satisfaction of hard work.
He was Baptist by faith and found peace in the outdoors--gardening, raising cattle and chickens, and caring for his land. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found joy in life's simple blessings and in the love of those who surrounded him.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 pm, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Holly Springs Cemetery in Martins Mill, TX.
