Mrs. Cooper passed away January 10, 2023 in Tyler. She was born March 6, 1934 in Grand Saline to Jesse Jerome and Pauline Sinclair Buchanan.
LaRue was a member of the Canton Church of Christ on 243. She grew up in Grand Saline and attended Tyler Junior College after high school. She enjoyed socializing with friends, cooking and entertaining family, and going to antique shops; including First Monday. She was a classic "Southern Lady."
Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cooper, Jr.; parents, Jesse and Pauline Buchanan; sister, Fern Dodson; and son-in-law, Jeff Herndon Carson.
LaRue is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Lisa Cooper; daughter, Kim Herndon Carson; and five grandchildren: Micah, Grant and Amy, Bret, Jaylen and Dayton.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
