Linda led a life surrounded by love. Love for her husband, her family, her hobbies, and Christmas. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, canning from the garden and reading non-fiction books. Linda was a big Willie Nelson fan, and an even bigger Dallas Cowboys fan.
Linda enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her love for baking would often led her to baking a table full of cookies and giving tins of them as Christmas presents.
Linda and Richard were known to have chickens, rabbits, and even a mule. She was an animal lover by nature, no matter the animal.
Her family was the most important thing to her. She spent her life raising and caring for her family, from her children to her grand and great-grandchildren. Her family members all have fond memories of her playing music as a soundtrack to cleaning, cooking, or baking.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Opal Watson; and her brothers: James Luther, Joseph Michael, Paul Wayne, and Roger Watson.
She is survived by her adoring husband, Richard Hardin; her daughter, Donna Smalling and husband, Michael; her son, Randy Hardin; her grandchildren: Sarah Norrell, Joseph Bonnet and wife Hannah, Austin Hardin, Chancellor Hardin, Tyler Muse and husband Tre; her great-grandchildren: Autumn Bonnett, Isaiah Bonnette, Ezra Bonnette, Elias Bonnette, Paige Muse, and Donald Jackson Muse; her sister, Jonnie Fugitt; and her four-legged companion, Buttercup.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Eubank Funeral Home Chapel on May 11, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held an hour prior from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at South Liberty Cemetery in Hopkins County.
