Mae Ellen Burdge

Len passed away at 5:15 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Avir at Bradburn in Grand Saline, Texas. Len was born in Powe, Missouri on May 12, 1930, the daughter of the late John C. and Rosa (Jackson) Davis.

Mrs. Burdge was a devout Christian. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, sewing, and baking, hobbies that brought joy to both her and those around her.

Survivors include her son, David Lee Hart and wife, Helen, of Bethalto, IL; son, Darrel R. Burdge and wife, Johanna, of Canton, Texas; daughter-in-law, Monika Hart of Stuttgart Germany; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Len was preceded in death by her brothers: John V. Davis, Chester (Bud) Davis, Merlen Davis, and Robert (Bobby) Davis; sisters: Esoline (Es) Norman, Clascida (Rita) Wheeler, Duxie Ledford, Caroline Routen, Daisy Flecher, husband, Donald Burdge in 1981; daughter, Teresa Balance in 2012; daughter, Tracie Burdge in 2014; and son, Donald Hart in 2023.

Mae Ellen will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared with her family.
