A funeral service for Manuela Caldera, 52, of Canton, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Grace Family Church under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Rains and Pastor Ralph Perez officiating.

Manuela went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 27, 1968 to Daniel Polendo and Cesarea Tavira Polendo in Piedras Negras Coah, Mexico.

Manuela was a beautiful lady inside and out. On April 2, 1990 in the town of Dimmitt, Texas she married the love of her life, Herman Caldera. They built a wonderful life together and settled in the Canton area 17 years ago. Manuela worked for the Canton ISD for 14 years and was the cafeteria manager at Canton High School. She was a member of the Lakeview Community Church. She loved the Lord and bringing her family together to worship at church. Manuela enjoyed traveling, shopping, watching Lifetime movies with her grandchildren and playing Loteria with her sisters and mom. On Sunday afternoon it was cooking and eating steaks while watching the Cowboys. Manuela always wanted everything organized, even though she never seemed to be. Most important to her was her love for God, her husband, children, grandchildren and family. Everyone that met her fell in love with her beautiful smile and the beautiful person she was. Manuela leaves a void and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Polendo.

Manuela is survived by her beloved husband, Herman Caldera; her children, Ysela Adams and husband, Isam, Herman Caldera Jr., Daniela Turcios and husband, Jacob, Yesenia Caldera, Selena Rodriguez and husband, Amando, Lenard Morris; grandchildren, Xavier, Izrael, Zoe, Addison and Chase; mother, Cesarea Tavira Polendo; siblings, Ernesto Polendo, Teresa Menchaca, Gloria Guerra, Tomasa Noriega, Rosa Isela Polendo ;a multitude of nieces and nephews from both the Caldera and Polendo families.

The family will receive visitors Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton, Texas.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Herman and family as we mourn together the loss of Manuela. I was given the opportunity to speak with her and the family a few days before she passed at their home. We prayed for her and with her and had a little message together in that room and she confirmed that she was right with her Lord. Praying that the family will seek the Lord and join us in our journey together. Her journey is done but ours has just begun.
