Services for Marie Barlow Lewis, 95, of Texarkana are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, November 23,2015, at the Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Jon Thornsbury officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lewis passed away November 20, 2015, in Texarkana, TX. She was born July 13, 1920, to Bert and Myrtle Hall Barlow.
Marie was married to her faithful husband, Newton, for 43 years. They were married on Christmas Day. She was a Methodist by faith. Marie was a teacher in grade school for 35 years in Texas, Arkansas and Virginia. She enjoyed traveling, cross-stitch and needle point. She enjoyed holidays and having her family and friends around. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Newton Edward Lewis and her sister, Billie Hooper.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Shelley Lewis of Wake Village, TX; granddaughter and her husband, Amy and Jamie Jones of Wake Village, TX; 2 great-grandchildren: Alex Jones and Taylor Ardwin; 1 great-great-grandchild, Hailey Gardner; and a sister, Bette Sheffield of Georgetown, TX.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
