

Services for Marion Purcell Kirkpatrick, 71, of Ben Wheeler, Texas, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016, at Flatwood Community Worship Center in Edom, Texas, with Pastor Mike Kirkpatrick officiating.
Marion passed away on January 29, 2016, at her home in Ben Wheeler, Texas. She was born on December 24, 1944, in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Marion is preceded in death by her Father, Louis F. Purcell; Mother, Joyce Hawes; Step-Father, Tommy Hawes; Infant Son, Benjamin David Kirkpatrick; and Infant Grandson, Eli Michael Kirkpatrick.
She is survived by her Husband, Mike Kirkpatrick of Ben Wheeler; Son and Daughter-In-Law, Ken and Christi Kirkpatrick of Fort Worth; Grandson, Jackson Kirkpatrick of Fort Worth; 3 Sisters: Nina Wyatt of Owensboro, Kentucky, Shirley Riggsbee of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Betty Ross of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Brother, Marvin Purcell of Philpot, Kentucky.
She was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky. She graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas. After graduation, she was actively involved in ministries serving at-risk and troubled children, before moving to Ben Wheeler, Texas in 1981 to co-pastor Flatwood Church with her husband Mike, where she remained until her passing. She was instrumental in the formation and administration of numerous ministries, including Bartley Wood Boys Home, Flatwood Christian Academy, People That Love Center Food Bank, and Future4Kids.org. She was a good and faithful servant of the Lord.
Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Eubank Funeral Home.
