Graveside services for Mary Jane Saxon, 86, of Ben Wheeler, will be held 2 pm Wednesday, November 19, 2020, at Tidmore Cemetery with Bro. Carlton Young officiating.

Mary Jane passed away November 15, 2020 at her home. She was born October 31, 1934 in Ben Wheeler to James Bryan and Mada Gamble Birt. She lived in Ben Wheeler all of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ben Wheeler. Mary Jane married Elmer Lee on August 3, 1950. They owned and operated Saxon Farm and was known for their tomatoes. She was a hard working woman and a loving mother and grandmother.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 70 years, Elmer Lee Saxon; son, Gary Lee Saxon; daughter, Karon Saxon-Gilbert and Mac; son, Stacy and Patricia Saxon, all of Ben Wheeler; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, James Byron and Jean Birt of Ben Wheeler. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Bryan and Mada Birt; and a grandson, Chad Bennett.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Saxon, Joshua Bennett, Cody Saxon, Trey Saxon, Blane Russell and Peyton Crim.

So sorry to hear today of the home going of our dear Mary. Juanita
and I will continue to uphold Elmer and your family in our prayers
I have known Mary since we started first grade together at ArcRidge
school . And then on through High School at Martins Mill
I will miss her sweet smile , when I would see her at the tomato stand. What a blessing Mary was to all who knew her. Our Lord today with arms wide open -- Welcome Home my good and faithful Servant
