I was raised in Lockney. My Mom was the Elementary School principal. Lou Brewer was one of my Mom’s best friends and my 4th grade teacher. We were at the Brewer’s house a lot. Mr. Brewer was always such a kind man to me. I remember Jan and thought it was so neat when she got a little brother. I was sad when they moved away because I loved going to their house. My condolences to the Brewer family. I am sure he will be missed...

Uncle Mac was a kind soul and a gentleman. I knew him many years ago when I lived in Canton. I enjoyed seeing him and visiting with him in his home. There was a peace around him that could was tangible.

So many memories. Mac helped so many during his time with us. I remember him setting up there on his tractor, friend of mine drinking a cold one and asked Mac, "why are You still working? You are almost 90 years old." Mac didn't miss a beat, said, " cause if You don't work YOU die". Could have heard a pin drop!
We bought the old Bodeine place from Mac. His story about being a young kid and picking up some wood scraps on the Bodeine ranch. Mr. Bodeine hollering at him. Mac never forgot it. The Bodeine ghost story lives on today.
We will all miss You Mac. Until we all meet again. God speed my friend.
