Nancy Wheless Robinson

Nancy Wheless Robinson, 80, of Longview, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, in Wills Point. She was born September 14, 1943, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Hewitt Hail and Martha Elizabeth Bradshaw Wheless.

Nancy was married to James L. Robinson II for almost 60 years.

Nancy graduated from Byrd high school in Shreveport LA., then attended LSU where she earned her master's degree in English and Spanish prior to starting her career as a teacher at numerous schools across Texas. She ended her long career by retiring from Hallsville High School. Upon retirement, moved to Longview and enjoyed her retirement by traveling around the country in their motorhome. She also enjoyed taking all of the grandchildren on a high school graduation trip of their choice, enjoying all the places they chose to go. When she could no longer travel, she moved into Arabella of Longview with Jim, they realized there were several old friends living there as well. It was very enjoyable for them to get reacquainted while they attended events. She enjoyed her time there while still being close to her two great grandchildren that she visited often until she fell ill and was called home.

Nancy is survived by her two sons: James L. Robinson, III and wife, Julie; John W. Robinson and wife, Melanie; four grandchildren: Amanda Boyett and husband Alan, Alicia Robinson and husband Stephen Holloway; Johnathan Robinson and wife Keri, and Courtney Holland and husband Daniel; two great-grandchildren: Bowman and Rollyns Boyett; sister, Marty Kirkpatrick; sister-in-law, Carol Shelton and husband, John; sister-in-law, Terri Wheless; brother-in-law, Mark Robinson and wife, Falicia; and numerous nephews and nieces.

There will be a memorial service for Nancy on April 28 for a tree to be planted in her honor for family and friends starting at 3:00 pm at Mobberly Baptist church of Longview Texas.
