Services for Opal Marie Cuthbertson, 95, of Canton, TX, will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Adam Muckleroy officiating. Interment will be 2:00 pm in Hendrick Cemetery in Rusk, TX.
Mrs. Cuthbertson passed away September 30, 2025 in Denton, TX. She was born April 11, 1930 in Rusk, TX to Charlie Asberry Collins and Mollie Shirl Hendricks Collins.
Opal was a member of Lynches Chapel Methodist Church. She attended Bulah School District No. 13 in Rusk, TX. After marrying Gjneal Joe Cuthbertson in 1950, Opal enjoyed being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. Plus she was a mother and grandmother to countless others that were in her life.
Mrs. Cuthbertson is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mollie Collins; husband, Gjneal Joe Cuthbertson of 52 years; five brothers: Shirl, Omer, Lloyd, Louie and Floyd Collins; and two sisters: Hazel Williams and Ola Shuptrine.
Opal is survived by her daughter, Vicky Jo Cuthbertson; two granddaughters: Jreada Jo Holden and Amy Jo Holden; and five great-grandchildren: Dylan Jordan Johnson, Jason Andrew White, Markus Dwayne Furr, Araya Gjnael Holden and Jacquelyn Ela Santos.
Pallbearers will be: Dylan Jordan Johnson, Markus Dwayne Furr, Jason Andrew White, Allen Jones, Dr. Jimmy Dailey and Jake Robinson.
