Pamela Jane Basgall, 75, of Grand Saline, Texas went home to heaven on July 7, 2026, in Canton, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1950, in Lewistown, Montana to Henry B. Thompson and Burtie Reva Jones Thompson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas.
Pamela’s early years were shaped by a family that worked in the oil fields and moved where the work was. She spent her teens in La Crosse, Kansas and graduated from La Crosse High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Gary Basgall. They married on March 8, 1969, and shared a love that endured for 46 years until Gary’s passing.
Pamela and Gary raised a family grounded in love, compassion, and a giving heart. With a steady, compassionate spirit, Pamela opened her home to many foster children, offering the kind of care that helped countless young lives find a stronger beginning through love and devotion.
Pamela enjoyed the beach, but time with her children and grandchildren was her biggest joy. She was full of life and beamed with pride and happiness when family was near—an enduring source of encouragement whose presence lifted those around her.
Pamela was a Christian and loved the Lord. Her faith and the example of her life remain a lasting inspiration to all who knew her.
