

Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose strength, compassion and courage touched many lives. She would help anyone who needed it. She worked as a dietitian at Heritage House Nursing Facility in Tyler, Texas until her retirement. She found joy in the simple things in life, especially caring for her garden, going to garage sales and Goodwill in search of treasures, fishing, taking long trips to Colorado, and cooking holiday meals for her family. She especially loved Christmas and always made sure everyone had a gift. Her love of family, kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen McDade and Jewel McDade; her daughter, Angel Glasscock; and her brothers, Charles McDade and John Allen McDade.
She is survived by her daughter, Bianca Moore; her son, Edgar (Jay) Clayburn, and his wife, Tammi Clayburn; four grandsons: Tristan Clayburn, Zacc Clayburn, Jerrad Clayburn, and Chad Clayburn; and 10 great-grandchildren, five girls and five boys; her brother, Bill McDade; sister, Shirley Moore; several nieces, especially Vanessa McDade, Vickie Moore, Peggy Scott, and Margie Scott; and several nephews, especially James Moore, David McDade, Alvin Moore, and Dennis McDade, who will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Peggy will be buried at Sabine Cemetery in Lindale, Texas.
Visitation: Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Graveside Service: Friday, July 24, 2026 at 9:00 am at Sabine Cemetery in Lindale.
Pastor Frankie McDaniel will lovingly share the eulogy, honoring Peggy's life, faith, and the legacy she leaves behind.
Though she is in Heaven now; Peggy's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
