Graveside services for Phil J. Hansford, 91, of Manvel, formerly of Canton, are scheduled for 11:30 am Friday, September 8, 2017, at Haven of Memories in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Mr. Hansford passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2017, in Alvin, TX. He was born June 11, 1926 in Neosho, Missouri to Walter and Julie Lavitta Burkhart Hansford.
Phil was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton, the Masonic Lodge and the V.F. W. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Phil retired after 27 years with the City of Garland where he was a foreman for the street crew.
Mr. Hansford is preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Hansford; his second wife, Eloise Hansford; and a daughter, JoAnn Rhodes.
Phil is survived by his sister, Patricia Alderson; son, Tom Keever; son-in-law, Gary Rhodes; granddaughters: Kim Henley, Sharon Cain, Lisa Rhodes-McLaughlin and Hillary Gilbert; and 6 great-grandchildren.
