He was born October 6, 1938 in Edgewood, Texas to Raymond Henry Valentine Sr. and Opal Baugh Valentine. He was the fourth child and first son of ten. He attended school in Edgewood all twelve years, graduating in 1956.
On July 12, 1958, he married the love of his life, Barbara Morris in Canton, Texas. To this union were born two children, Brian and Dede. Upon retirement from there, he returned to truck farming. When he was not farming or working Buddy’s love was to go fishing.
