Services for Raymundo "Ray" Cerda , 76, of Murchison, Texas, are scheduled for 12:00 pm Saturday September 20, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Michael Cerda officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX.

He passed away September 17, 2014 in Coppell.

Ray was born January 7, 1938 in Mission, TX, to Encarnacion Cerda and Epifania Cerda.

Ray grew up in Mission, Texas where he graduated in 1956. He was catholic by faith. He enjoyed working outdoors and working with youth sports in the Irving Boys Football and Baseball Association's. Ray also served as Booster Club President for Irving High. He loved family gatherings, cookouts, dancing, and meeting new people.

Surviving are Sons, David & Lynne Cerda of Coppell, Ray Cerda Jr. of Coppell, Daughter, Debbie & Jimmy Williams of Coppell, Niece, Ninfa Ramirez of Coppell, 6 Grandchildren, 3 Great-grandchildren, Sisters, Alberta Ochoa, Dora Rodriguez, Lesvia Peralez, & Former Spouse, Maria V. Cerda.

Ray was preceded in death by his Parents, Encarnacion & Epifania Cavazos Cerda, Wife, Sherry Diane Cerda, Son, Chonny Cerda, Sisters, Amelia Vela, Aurora Olivarez, Elia Silva, & Emma Gonzalez, Brother, Rafael Serda, & Twin Brother, Reynaldo Serda.

Family will receive friends from 11 to 12 at the funeral home.
