

A memorial service for Rigoberto “Wuito” Soriano, 84, on December 29, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home, Richard Schmidt officiating. Family will receive visitors from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on December 29, 2020 prior to the service.
Rigoberto passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2020 in Canton, Texas. He was born on August 14, 1936 in Santa Tecla, El Salvador to Wenceslao Soriano and Santos Soriano.
Rigoberto had a personality bigger than life. He lived for his wife and family. Rigoberto, his wife and daughter Nicolle immigrated in 1993 from his homeland to San Francisco. Later moved to Miami where he left his heart and then to Texas to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He was a hard worker and did everything necessary to provide for his family in a foreign land. He was a big foodie, specially sweets and loved to shop; very stylish and well dressed. While he had many traits, his biggest were always present and showed, he loved to love people and be the life of the party. He was a huge fan of Frank Sinatra’s music while his favorite being “My Way”. What made him smile the most was his grandsons and telling stories about his precious wife, Maria, who he was married to for 52 years at her passing. Rigoberto favorite pass time was to take pictures of family and friends. He loved his family and he leaves an empty place in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wenceslao and Santos Soriano; his loving wife, Maria Soriano.
Rigoberto is survived by his daughter, Maureen Schmidt (grandchildren, Quentin Tyler Schmidt, Sebastian Alexander Schmidt), his oldest son, Jose Soriano and daughter in law Carmen Soriano (grandchildren Stephanie Soriano, Pamela Soriano, Maria Jose Soriano), daughter, Mariella Soriano and Son in Law (Grandchildren Marcelo Luna and Monica Luna); son, Yuri Soriano; His siblings, Lila Soriano, Wenceslao Soriano, Teresa de Ascencio, Enrique Soriano, Yolanda Soriano and Gladys Jovel.
