

The family will hold a visitation and wake from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Eubank Funeral Home.
Robert grew up in Dallas and graduated from Madison High School. He lived in California for awhile and attended De Anza College. Coming back to Texas in 2000. Robert was the first black chef at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel. He loved to cook and feed the crowd. Robert enjoyed leisure time fishing and talking smack! He could have a room laughing in minutes. He had a huge heart and loved his family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents: Elroy and Thelma Lampkin; wife, Helen Lampkin; son, Jason Lampkin; son, Riley Jones; brothers: Hairy (Duke) Lampkin, Elroy (Bubba) Lampkin, Nathaniel (Snow) Carter, Michael Carter and Ronnie Carter.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Williams; son, Robert Deon Lampkin; daughters: Angela Jones, Leslie Chase and Amber Lamb; grandchildren, Kyrie and Jacovin; two great grandchildren; God daughters, Jessica Williams and Elexisa Williams; God grandchildren: Jamarion, Jaykeylin, Jeremiah, Kaylay, Isaiah and Melik; brother, Fred and wife, Sherri Lampkin; sisters, Inez Green, Arizona Bryant and Ira Coleman; sister in-law, Georgia Coleman and husband, Henry, Lenoria Ned and husband, Terry; numerous nieces and nephews; a multitude of other family and friends.
