Ronald passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, in Tyler, TX.
He was born January 5, 1932, in Canton, TX to B.J. Dawson & Lottie Bell Pittmon Dawson.
Ronald grew up in the Canton area and was a Christian by faith. He served his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army and was stationed in Trieste, Italy. Ronald served in the Recon Honor Guard for many Generals and the Secretary of State, Clare Boothe Luce. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was a barber by trade for many years in the Dallas and Canton areas. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, cattle ranching, raising peas and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Selma; brothers and sisters-in-law: Perry Max & Ruth, Florida; Harold & Alyce, Dallas; Charles & Wanda, Richardson; Jerry & Susie, Wills Point; and Allen & Sandra, Canton.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Ben Dawson and his sister, Sally Hilliard.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton, TX.
