Ronald Dale Hunter

Dale went home to the Lord on January 24, 2022 surrounded by family. He was born on January 12, 1937 in Coello, IL to Benjamin and Clara Hunter.

Dale grew up in Coello, IL and after high school attend Southern Illinois University. On April 9, 1960 he married the love of his life, Lawanda Baker. They have enjoyed 61 beautiful years together. Dale was a long time member of Tree of Life Church Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and driving his tractor. Dale was a generous man, always helping his family and friends. Dale took pride in his family and loved spending the day with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a good man, wonderful husband, great father and grandfather. Dale will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Lawanda Hunter; daughters Shelli and J. D. Schulgen, Kristi Hunter Bryant; grandchildren, Jon Hunter, Luke Hunter, Benjamin Hunter, John and Amanda Schulgen, James and Bailey Schulgen, Blake Bryant, Fred Arbaca; great grandchildren, Millie, Marshall, Josie and Henry.

He is preceded in death by parents, Ben and Clara Hunter; son, Jon Hunter.

A visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service on January 28, 2022.
