Royce Wayne Hutcherson

Royce passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Canton.

He was born January 4, 1934 in Gun Barrel City, TX to Lonnie Lee Hutcherson and Vera Estelle Shelby.

Royce grew up in the Phalba Community and graduated from Aspermont High School before moving back to Van Zandt County. He owned and operated a dairy farm before working with his sons moving dirt. Royce married Cherell Ann Biggerstaff November 29, 1976. He enjoyed riding around on his farm, playing dominoes and being outdoors. Royce was a member of Kingdom First Ministries in Kemp. He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren and sitting in his recliner with the remote.

He is survived by his Wife, Cherell Hutcherson; Son, Paul & Becky Hutcherson; Son, Perry & Lisa Hutcherson; Son, Randall Hutcherson; 10 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Jack & Kay Strickland; Sister, Karen & Richard Phillips; and Special Daughters: Gina Cobb & Lisa K. Wilson.

Royce is preceded in death by his Parents, Lonnie & Vera Hutcherson; Son, Major Lynn Hutcherson; Sister, Nadene Blease; and Brother, Larry Hutcherson.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton, TX.

Family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
